The River Delta Unified School District enjoys a fine reputation for educational excellence. River Delta Teachers are not content to educate tomorrow's citizens with yesterday's methods. The District is currently involved in a number of program improvements designed to enhance the effectiveness of instruction at all levels.
Staff Development
The District provides training for all certificated and classified employees with Stephen Covey's "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People."
The District provides on-going staff development for our adopted Language Arts and Math programs. Besides continual training and up-dates on the latest information and techniques for teaching Language Arts and Math, the District provides each school with a coach who can work with teachers in the latest methods for delivering instruction to all students.
In addition, the District provides opportunities for staff to participate in on-going inservices in all curriculum areas. The district encourages advancement on the salary schedule for advanced classes taken to improve instruction in areas agreed upon by both teacher and principal.
The District continues to promote its commitment to science education through District-wide participation in CSIN.
Technology
The District has a strong commitment to providing the best in educational technology for teachers and students. All schools are equipped with networked labs and/or classroom computers.
A District-wide technology committee guides a comprehensive plan that has placed over 500 computers into student hands during the past 3 years. Board and administrative support of educational applications of technology is strong.

- Certificated Staff members are provided with e-mail accounts
The District maintains its own internet server, providing e-mail and a World Wide Web Site.
